Ella is a small village town. It is a single street bazaar 50km from Nuwaraeliya. The road descends rapidly to the law lands, seventy miles to the South Coast of the island. Ella has the most magnificent view in Sri Lanka. From the Ella Gap you can gaze down on a vast amphitheater that opens is the coastal plains in the South while to the North you will see ridge after ridge peak after peak.

The places you can see in Ella are the Ella gap, Rawana Ella falls, Little Adam’s Peak, and Bambaragala Peak.

It is a great possibility for hiking, trekking, or cycling with a group, cool day winds will keep you cool and alert. The view from the Ella Gap will have a lingering effect on you. You may be pleasantly surprised by an abrupt fog descending on you.
